Ekko
Performative Costume ; a wearable sound
Black Box Teater / Oslo 2019
Ekko is sitting on a chair, enjoying being watched. She pulls out tubes from her sleeves, and starts blowing air into her own body, showcasing the tranformations of growth, distortion, imploding or even disappearance.
Ekko is composed from diary texts on pushing borders and expectations - personal as political - in a body that is female, human and full of contradictory thoughts. The act is speechless, but the air is whistling, screaming and squeaking while moving in and out of the pipes
