LANDEVEJSARKIVET

A mobile, outdoors sound-installation by Vingeskudt.

February/march 2020 (DK-tour) + June 2020 / Copenhagen city space

LANDEVEJSARKIVET (The Archive on the road) keeps growing from the question: What is the sound of your city?

The Archive began in the shape of a red, rolling wagon. In the spring 2020 Vingeskudt (Nina Tind & Andrea Lindeneg) travelled with the archive across Denmark, pausing in libraries to chat with those interested in sharing a story or a sound. And so: the archive grew with every city.

During summer 2020 a city edition was made: the collected stories of the archive were spread into sounding mini-sculptures of the streets : a pigeon, a pizzabox, a can etc. These sculptures where places around two chairs covered by umbrellas. The Archive changed location every day, inviting the passing by people to sit down and listen to everyday-life stories from all over the country, and to add their own stories in a journal.
